The Braid with Many Names

This braid goes by many names including Dutch Braid, Boxer Braids, and Inside-Out Braid.  I refer to it as a Dutch Braid.  This braid is basically a reverse French Braid.  In a French Braid you are pulling the sections of hair over each other, while in a Dutch Braid the sections of hair are going underneath each other.

It takes a little mind training to reverse your thinking and takes some time to get your hands to work that way. This braid probably requires the most practice in terms of holding the hair just right, but the results are so cute and give a different twist to a traditional braid.

The video is a great reference to watch the motion and how I am holding the hair. Good luck!
