French Braid

The French braid is an easy, basic braid that always looks cute. I love to do a French braid on Kinsley a couple days a week because it is fast, and looks nice.

First start with nicely brushed hair.  We like to use The Wet Brush (Link below) which can be used on wet or dry hair and does not pull when getting snarls out.

Once the hair is all brushed, divide the hair into two sections along the part.

Start at the front of the hairline with a triangle section.

Spilt the triangle in three parts and begin your cross over motion, like the picture on the right.

From there you do the same motion all along the head: drop one side, add more hair, crossover, and repeat.

At the end of the braid we like to secure them with Goody Ouchless clear elastic and give it a spray with Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel hair spray (links below). Not only does the hair spray keep little fly aways in place, but it helps prevent lice.

Watch the video below for more instruction, along with being able to see what the crossover motion looks like. Thanks for reading!
